Honda is celebrating the Gold Wing’s 50th anniversary in 2025. The motorcycle has been in production for five decades and offers a premium experience for riders who enjoy long road trips. While many features carry over to the 2025 model, some updates have been made.

Wireless connectivity is now available on all trim levels. The 50th anniversary models also feature new logos and fresh paint colors. Some versions come with a commemorative coffee-table book and a 3D model showcasing the original 1975 Gold Wing and the 2025 model.

The Gold Wing is available in two main trim levels: the standard Gold Wing and the Gold Wing Tour. The standard Gold Wing starts at $25,975. Adding a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) increases the price by $1,000.

This model includes side storage but lacks a top case. The Gold Wing Tour starts at $29,475. The 50th Anniversary edition of the Gold Wing Tour costs $29,975.

Opting for the DCT in the Tour model raises the price to $30,475. The premium trim level offers an airbag for additional safety and is priced at $34,275. Honda has featured airbags on Gold Wing motorcycles since 2006.

The Gold Wing is equipped with modern technology. Standard features include LED lights, heated grips, and cruise control. Heated seats are available in upper trim levels.

The bike has an analog speedometer paired with a 7-inch infotainment screen.

The stereo system comes in two versions: a two-speaker system on standard models and a four-speaker system on upper trims.

The Gold Wing is powered by a 1,833cc horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine. The engine is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or Honda’s seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The Gold Wing has an approachable seat height of 29.3 inches and weighs between 802 and 856 pounds.

It has a 7-inch TFT dashboard, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and an upgraded sound system. To celebrate the model’s 50th anniversary, Honda is launching a special edition with exclusive finishes and a collector’s model for the first 1,833 buyers in Europe. The Gold Wing has consistently received accolades over the years. It has evolved through various models, including the GL1000, GL1100, GL1200, GL1500, and GL1800.

Each iteration brought improvements in engine displacement, power, handling, and features. The latest GL1800 model, introduced in 2018, saw significant changes in the frame and bodywork, resulting in a substantial weight reduction. Modern technologies like Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission have kept the Gold Wing at the forefront of innovation.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Honda is releasing special editions of the Gold Wing, including a vintage Eternal Gold and Mahogany Brown livery inspired by the ’80s models. These editions will feature unique ’50 Years’ badges. The Honda Gold Wing continues to set the standard for luxury touring motorcycles, adapting to meet the needs of enthusiasts while offering comfort and innovation.
