Located in Walla Walla, the southern corner of Washington, four hours from Portland and four and a half from Seattle, and founded in 1882, Whitman counts with approximately 1,450 students representing forty-four states and thirty countries. This shows one thing Whitman aims: a vision of diversity.
It’s an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian residential liberal arts and sciences undergraduate college. Whitman is recognized for its small classes, engaging, distinguished faculty, and academic experience so as to build academic and personal self-confidence.
