Available in English, Spanish and Chinese, WatchKnowLearn is like YouTube, but only that for educational videos. All of the clips that are featured on this site play an educational role, and they’re grouped into categories such as “Mathematics”, “Science”, “History” and “Computer and Technology”. The list is always visible on the left-hand side of the homepage, and each of these categories splits itself into many others. For example, the “History” category is subdivided into “Pre-History”, “Ancient History”, “History of the United States”, “History Songs”… The site’s got a really huge database, with some categories holding as much as 4,000 videos already. Thankfully, when searching it over you can set down the age range that applies (from 3 to 18 years).
And if you are a teacher and you intend to use the videos featured on WatchKnowLearn.com on your classroom, then you can also filter results by skill level, and (for example) focus on videos that are aimed at the youngest of learners only.
A very useful resource for parents and educators alike, it joins others that have been for longer such as NeoK12.
