Veenix TuneExplorer is a new Mac based recommendation engine for your personal music collection. It deciphers various sonic qualities—pitch, pitch variance, fundamental strengths and other qualities—to give you music that matches your mood.
Playlists are compiled based on the ‘energy’ or likeness to songs that you’ve chosen beforehand. Once the playlists are set you can listen to them directly through the TuneExplorer or bring them over to your iTunes. TuneExplorer was developed first as a demo of Veenix’s music analysis software; Mac users (OS 10.4 and higher) can download the beta version for free.
