If you’re a photographer and you’re going to be traveling abroad soon, there’s two easy ways to learn about these places where you could take great photos. One is visiting a site such as Dripbook, and asking the people who make up its community about the best locations in that city or town you’ll find yourself in. The other is getting an application such as Stuck On Earth. Available for iPad, this brand-new app lets you discover the best places to take photos wherever you might be. It works by geo-locating yourself, and then putting all the top places on a map.
And Stuck On Earth goes through Flickr’s database in order to get the photos it shows you of these cool places. It gets the best pictures that it can find, and that’s what you’re shown when carrying out a search.
And the app also lets you upload these good places that you find when you’re out and about, of course. It doesn’t matter where it is you find yourself at – America, Europe, Asia… any place that wows you can be uploaded to the Stuck On Earth database, and seen by all the people who’s ever there.
