Rankable is for these times you want to know how many people think like you do when it comes to the quality of anything. A magazine that you read everyday while you’re commuting, a rock and roll band that you love but that your roommate couldn’t stand any less, a movie you saw and were blown away by… this site lets you have that ranked just by sending out a tweet with the relevant hashtags. For example if you want to rank the movie “Transformers 3” you’d send a tweet along the lines of #Transformers 3 is fantastic #rankable. And then, you’ll rank the subject out of 10. In the previous example, that would read #Transformers 3 is fantastic #rankable 9/10.
And that’s where your direct participation ends. Rankable will take care of crowdsourcing all the opinions that come after yours, and then of displaying all these items that have received the biggest ratings on its homepage.
As you can see, it’s a very simple concept. Rankable is easy to use for sure, but it remains to be seen whether it can compete with others websites like Ranker – websites that give users the chance to comment on what’s being ranked directly, not to mention to have everything grouped on as many lists as they want.
