Marvel vs. Capcom review: online issues persist

Online Issues

The recent release of Capcom’s Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has been met with praise from reviewers.

However, the PC version of the collection has experienced issues with online matchmaking, preventing many users from playing against opponents online.

Reports suggest that the matchmaking problem appears to be limited to the PC version. Some users have recommended enabling “Cross-region Matchmaking” as a temporary solution, but the results have been inconsistent. Capcom has recognized the issue and is actively working to resolve it.

A Capcom representative stated, “We are currently confirming an issue where matching is difficult in some areas. We are investigating the cause and working to resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

The acknowledgment from Capcom suggests that the problem may be regional, which explains why enabling Cross-region Matchmaking has had some success, although it does not guarantee stable matches.

Users are hopeful that Capcom will release a patch or hotfix soon to address the connectivity problems. While the physical version of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is scheduled for release on November 22, the immediate focus is on resolving the online issues for the digital PC version to ensure a smooth gaming experience for all users.
