There is a song by Cristy Laine called “”Simple Little Words” which I really like, and this site got me thinking about it. The message of the song, basically, is that poetry is fantastic but a simple “I love you” or “I need you” is also perfect to show your appreciation to someone.
ILikeUCoz, then, is a site that will let you give someone a boost and let him know how much he means to you – in a simple and direct context.
As a result, the main page showcases messages of appreciation posted by site users, and these go along the lines of “I like u coz you’re a dream come true… and you’re still there when I wake up!” and “I like u coz I can feel you all around me even when you’re far away”. In every case, the sender and the recipient are highlighted at the bottom of the message.
The site dubs itself as the first appreciation engine in the world, and it was actually created in a very short span of time – only 48 hours. The concept has some potential, but whether it can effectively enthrall a massive audience remains moot. Let’s see how the site advertises itself and which further social features are added.
