Disqus is a new community discussion site/comment and rating system for blogs and websites. Users who post on Disqus backed sites can track all their comments and replies, follow friends, and build their rep.

Comments can be traced back to Disqus main site creating a link to a user’s profile page, which the founders describe as a type of microblog, containing all of a single user’s comments. Publishers, on the other hand, will be able to keep out spam, get stats, moderate, and take advantage of threaded conversations.
