Though as its name attests, this venue is a palace for cows, you won’t see many on the site, as its aim is to provide information for event organizers interested in renting the facilities: take a look –and download— plans and seating charts for different kind of activities (like the Grand National Rodeo, basketball, boxing, etc.), take a look at a list of organizers who’ve hosted their shows in the venue (it would be nice to see it set up for different activities), find driving directions and a list of nearby hotels, or buy your tickets online.
While there’s room for lots of improvement, the site caters effectively for the needs of its target audience, and has some interesting bits under the history tag: since it first opened its doors in the early 1940’s, some music legends have played there, including The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and The Who, and you can take a look at some posters advertising the shows. It would be really nice to have a section covering this and other interesting bits about the history of the Cow Palace, and maybe carry some media if there’s any available.
