Family Caregiver Alliance was the first community-based non-profit organization in the country to address the needs of families and friends, providing long-term care at home. They offer programs at national, states and local levels to support and sustain caregivers.
FCA has developed a wide array of services and publications based on caregiver needs. Some of the programs that they offer are information, National Centre on Care giving, Bay Area Caregiver Resource Centre, State-wide Resources Consultant, Corporate Eldercare Consultant, Research and Policy Development, Education and Training, and Online Services. The website offers families, professionals, policy makers, and the media information on demand on a wide range of caregiver issues, services and support. Caregivers have access to the online discussion group and regularly updated website. Approximately 44 million American families and friends provide unpaid care to another adult.
