Betwn.us is a new client that enables both Facebook and Twitter users to post updates to their streams by using email.
That is, all the user has to do is send out an email to an address at betwn.us, and then Betwn.us takes care of posting that message to his Facebook Wall or Twitter Stream.
A service like this one is certainly simple, but that doesn’t mean it is not useful – quite the contrary. By now it is clear even to the most undiscerning folks that Twitter and Facebook have taken over the mainstream channels of communications. In a certain sense, it could be said that email and these social services are at odds. This is the first app that I come across which aims to connect these two mediums, and the result is practical indeed.
