In the spirit of ‘animals should have fun too’ ZooClub has launched a pet centric social network. This is a place where all pets, no matter what breed or species, can converge and socialize.
Of course, it’s the owners who do all the chatting, but it’s in the name of their furry friends. As with your regular human social networks, ZooClub has got profiles with plenty of photos, messaging, friends, and rating. Although the profiles are geared for the pets, there’s a special section included for the owner and he/she can post their own photo. You’ll find that pets are categorized by species—dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, reptiles, and then there’s a miscellaneous section labeled small animals. On the site’s homepage the champions of the week (those with the highest ratings, the most visitors, and the most friends) are showcased in all their adorable glory. Also getting center stage attention are the Zooclub newcomers.
ZooClub.de In Their Own Words
“In this club, there are no bouncers, no age limits, and no cover charge. It’s a free community for all pets and their owners to meet and have fun. In zooClub everything with paws, claws, fins or a beak can meet up to make new friends, or get in contact with each other. Every zooClub member gets his own website with a profile and then the fun really starts: looking around, contacting other members, making new friends, and meeting up with old ones. The more zooClub members, the more exciting and fun it is for everyone, so don’t forget to spread the news: zooClub – the hippest pet club in the net!”
Why ZooClub.de It Might Be A Killer
Social networking for pets—the idea is absolutely adorable and sweet, after all man’s best friends deserve some sort of online recognition don’t they? Each pet gets ample profile space to share pics and comments. The site has an overall clean and fun look. It’s easy to use, so even the most computer challenged pet owners won’t get stressed.
Some Questions About ZooClub.de
The site rather lacks in the features department. Sure there are lots of pictures, but that’s nothing new nor special—plenty of other sites exhibit animal pictures with cute abandon. Will ZooClub add more messaging options, or expand on the owner profile space? It is really the owners who are doing the work anyways, they might as well get more space. Also, what about animals that aren’t listed in the categories?
