This site will be perfect for those among you that have been bitten by the bug of curiosity. It is a resource that is wholly devoted to the asking and answering of questions, and these are as encompassing as you can imagine.
Just look at some of the categories that questions can be circumscribed in: “Arts & Humanities”, “Beauty & Style”, “Business & Finance”, “Cars & Transportation”… and that was simply following the alphabetical order in which they are displayed on the site itself. If we move further down the list we can find some categories like “Sports”, “Travel” and “Pregnancy & Parenting”.
The one thing sites such as this one have working against them is that they are equally open to serious elucidations and to questions that just leave you “Huh?”. For example, when I was browsing through the featured open questions I came across a fellow asking “When is the end of the world?”. Go figure. Or listen to R.E.M.’s song “Is The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).
Other than that, the success of resources like this one lie in how quickly they can assimilate a userbase. And I wonder how will this site face that challenge in order to succeed.
