After being in private beta for the best part of a year, Zapaday has finally become available to just everybody. The site is something of a mix between an automated aggregator of worldwide news, and a calendar where people like you and me can upload their own events for everybody else to know. The site’s split into lots of categories like “Affairs”, “Culture”, “Sports”, “Businesses” and “Science”, and the homepage lists both the newest events that have been added and the ones that could be deemed as more interesting or relevant. Zapaday is actually a human-curated website, with a large team of editors looking at what’s featured on other news sites and what people themselves submit, and picking the best of the best.
By default, the site gives you a worldwide view of events, but you can easily change that and select the country or city where you live. And you can also pick the date you’re interested in. You can see all that’s going to happen today, tomorrow or in just any day in the future by picking the date from the provided calendar. That can be done without having to register for an account. An account is only needed if you want to submit your own events, and customize what you see. Accounts come at zero cost, and when you feel its time you can sign up for one here.
