The Rachael Ray’s non-profit organization known as Yum-O! has one clear mission, namely educating children and their families about cooking, as well as feeding hungry children, helping children have healthy eating habits, and funding school programs and scholarships. There are three main areas: “cook”, “feed” and “yum”, which cover the aforementioned points.
On the Yum-o! website you can find lots of recipes for all ages, tips and hints for the kitchen, and ideas you can use in order to inspire change in your school or community. There is also a section where you can share your own stories. As expected, there is a section including several games such as memory cards, a “spot the differences” game, and a food trivia. You can also shop online for your favorite Yum-o! items, including the latest Yum-o! cookbook. An option of great interest is that you can apply for the NRAEF (National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation) Scholarship.
