Are you a video game player who wants to play and make new games? YoYo Games is using the social networking platform to allow ‘gamers’ (i think they are called that) to share, play and create their own games. It’s a pretty cool tool if you are into this kind of thing.
You can search for games based on categories, and they have games indexed by how they are rated, most discussed, staff picks, etc. And, of course, they have a social networking area for individual profiles as well as a group forum. To create and upload a game, all you have to do is register. The site also offers samples of User Licensing Agreements, which I assume deal with use and copyright issues. Given the loads of teenage boys (adults?) that thrive on video games, this site is a clever way to allow creativity and play. I wonder if the gaming industry reads this site?

Why Yoyogames.com It Might Be A Killer
Video games are huge with teenage boys to young adult men, and the sport (?) seems to be growing by leaps and bounds. This site allows users to download and play games, but also network and create and share their own games. It is kind of like film school, where gamers can experiment and hone their craft while also entertaining lots of their friends and peers. The site has excellent traffic.
Some Questions About Yoyogames.com
Do these games receive copyright protection in case the industry wants to steal the idea? Have they considered some sort of contest, maybe even sponsored by the industry, to create the most popular new game? Can they please put more information about their site and mission on the home page, or at least in an easily accessible link?
