Yappd is a visual Twitter clone that works in a very similar manner, but you can include an image in your updates, which top off at 150 characters. It is a service that allows you to quickly tell the world what you are up to.
You can add content via their website, email or sms. Yappd allows you and your friends to know what’s on each other’s minds. Yappd does just that, it allows you and your friends to keep each other in the loop. You can accomplish that by posting a yapp through the website, by sending an e-mail, text message, or picture message. The image will display as a thumbnail directly in your Yappd update on your home page, which can be opened in a full size view, with your update showing below the image. You can also add other Yappd users to your watchlist. Including an image with a Yappd update using your mobile phone and email is really easy. However, there are no options for including an image if you post directly from the site. Currently you cannot receive updates from friends via SMS or email, but these features are planned for release in the coming weeks.
