Wizi is a Portuguese company that has just released its first product. Named SMS With Location, this neat little app will enable you to share your current whereabouts by way of your mobile phone.
That is, by being a registered Wizi user you can send out your exact location to anybody in a way as easy as the actual sending out of an SMS.
By doing so, you and your friend(s) will know exactly where it is that each other is situated and devise the best route to get from a point to the other, not only in terms of saving time but also when it boils down to helping the environment.
An effort has clearly been made in order to support as many platforms as possible. Five are supported as it stands right now, in fact: Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Samsung Omnia and Nokia. I have seen similar (or related) services that did not cover half as much, and that certainly bodes well for Wizi.
The best thing might as well be that the site is entirely free – using Wizi is inexpensive, and the same goes for creating an account. Downloads for the SMS With Location service are free from the different markets.
