Winterhaven Public Events is a non lucrative organization that has the objective of raising and distributing funds to local charities such as the Community Food Bank. This is mainly achieved by promoting two different events, namely the Festival of Lights and the 4th of July Parade.
Comprehensive information on the former is provided online. The Festival of Lights lasts two weeks, and it is an attraction that draws visitors from all the United States. The trees are decorated with lively arrangements, and the houses of the Winterhaven neighborhood follow suit as well. Haywagon carriages and trolleys are available for the ultimate ride around town during the festival, and both car and buses are allowed in specific nights. There is no entrance fee to the Festival, but since it is a fundraising event donations are welcome. Pictures are available online, giving a taster of what it’s like on that particular event; and maps of the Winterhaven area can be consulted online as well.
