One of the most flexible and useful features the Internet has on offer is its collection of dictionaries, thesaurus, and linguistic tools. The Webster Online Dictionary is one of the most comprehensive available, as it features 90 modern languages, and 10 ancestral languages.
Searches are conducted by means of a search engine, and it is also possible to browse through the contents of the dictionary by first letters. Likewise, the site can be navigated by subject, and there is also an option to browse through languages other than English. The site also includes a “Word of the Day” feature, which is accompanied by the “Quote of the Day”. What’s more, “Word of the Hour” and “Word of the Minute” features are also included. There is a forthcoming version that will come complete with timelines, sound effects, and a translation service. This new version is set to be implemented in the year 2008
