Sometimes it is easy to sneak around in your grandma’s personal drawer to see old pictures, pictures from the past. But if that’s not enough for you check this photography source, Viewsofthepast.
com, host site of Superior View, a collection by Jack Deo. This website is aimed to provide real photographs of the past, made form the very original negative or photograph of the author and is available for books, publications and advertising, unfortunately not for free, but the fees are quite reasonable, starting up $20USD for non-profits and scholarly use. It hides an incredible collection of hand-printed in sepia or b&w toned images and historic images. I checked the gallery and the well-categorized structure made my tour so much easier. You will find photos about hunting, fishing, people, sports, transportation and about various occupations. Just pick up the category you want and select an image for viewing at right. Though they’re copyrighted, the well-known “save as” button can let you download any picture to your desktop if paying is not an option. Give it a try!
