ViewAt.org – Share Your Panoramic Photos

ViewAt.orgViewAt is a Google Maps mashup designed for showcasing panoramic photos. There, you can eyeball the lush and grand panoramas others have submitted (browse by location or author), or upload your own pictures.

On ViewAt your photos actually turn out in their whole and uncut glory, looking just as pretty as the real deal. The ViewAt team has designed a special Flash viewer to view your panoramic shots as they were meant to be seen. As the photographs are geotagged you can easily pinpoint locations on the map and browse by country. Users are free to comment on photos and find out how the shot was made and with what equipment. It may take some time and skills to get your photos uploaded. It requires some HTML skills and stitching.

ViewAt.org In Their Own Words

“viewAt.org was born with the idea of creating a virtual space where anybody can upload their photographic works in panoramic format and relate them to the place where they were taken.
For that reason, and with the aid of technological developments that have made it possible to set up this visual manager, we aim to take web surfers to almost real spaces. Unlike traditional photography, the panoramic image creates a wrap-around sensation which we have tried to exploit to the full, thanks mainly to Shockwave Flash player, which allows us to include multimedia elements on the webpage and to fantastic developments such as Flash Panoramas and Google Maps.”

Why ViewAt.org It Might Be A Killer

ViewAt makes your panoramas look as gorgeous and grand as they do in real life. It’s fun to look through the photos, and if you’re a photographer yourself, it’s a good way to share your photos with the world?
