Inspired by imified.com, what Twitterified does is to extend and expand the services which Twitter already offers.
This web-based initiative has just moved to public beta, and some of the new services that have been implemented or which are going to be acted upon very soon include messages which are longer than 140 characters, rich messages that include pictures and video files, and threaded conversations. Further features that are already available or imminent include the ability to post bookmarks to Delicious accounts and the resources for tracking your personal finances via Twitter.
As far as the layout of the site is concerned, there are sections named “Messages”, “About”, “Community” and “Help.” The latter contains concise setup instructions and technical information that is convenient to check out beforehand, whereas the “Community” section includes questions and answers which are posted by Twitterified users.
Twitterified also offers an API, and its documentation is hopefully going to be released soon. For the time being, it has two calls available: “Update” and “Retrieve”. It will be interesting to see how this API is developed.
All in all, the sheer volume of available and forthcoming features make a visit to this site mandatory for those who wish to take their Twitter experience above and beyond.
