Twiglr.com – Expanding The Power Of Twitter

Twiglr.comIt just can’t be avoided. When something becomes as widespread as Twitter, people will develop their own takes on such a product.

Sometimes, these complement the original vision quite smoothly as they are offering an added functionality – something like posting from multiple accounts, or sending out an image. And other times, you come across a resource such as Twiglr. This is not the first time I see something like it, and I am sure this is not your first time either. Twiglr is one of these tools for sending extended tweets. That is, you write a longer text than usual and then these are tweeted out to your followers. When that happens, the information of your profile information is copied across from Twitter. In that way, the message that you have sent out bears both the look and the feel of your existing Twitter account. Your URL is the same as your current Twitter username, too.

I don’t want to discuss whether something like this is true to Twitter’s spirit or not since I have posited that question before. And the answers will be truly individual ones. At the end of the day, I am not that sure something like it matters – if Twiglr lets you communicate better, then just go for it.
