Users upload their tutorials to our website, and receive 50% of the ad revenue from each tutorial. We host everything, including the images and work with Google to insert ads into their tutorials (via the AdSense API).
Google does the revenue splitting, so users can be sure they’re getting all their earnings. A list of current tutorials can be found here: http://tutorialtub.com/category/
Why TutorialTub.com It Might Be A Killer
This is a rather novel idea for two main reasons. There aren’t too many websites on the Internet that allow users to post tutorials about anything (most require tutorials to be about something specific, such as Photoshop). There are even fewer tutorial websites that split 50% advertisement revenue with their users (in fact, a Google search yielded none). A little background about me, I’m an 18-year-old freshman undergraduate currently attending UC Berkeley, majoring in Computer Science. I thought of and coded the site from the group up. I’ve been creating website ever since I was in middle school.
