If you’re a bit like me, you often end up using YouTube not for watching videos, but for listening to music. I often leave a window open in the background, with a song playing while I do something different. Right now, Sonic Youth’s “Sacred Trickster” is playing. And once that one’s ended, I’ll continue with Dan Fogelberg’s “Part Of The Plan”. And I’ll probably pick a good couple more before the end of the day, to make up for all these artists whose albums I haven’t got with me right now.
And if you’re known to do the same, then Tubalr is a site that you’ll naturally be interested in. It lets you listen to the music that’s found on YouTube, keeping things as basic and direct as possible. On this site, it’ll be just you and the song you’ve chosen to play. No comments, no likes and dislikes, no ads… nothing’s getting in the way of your music here.
And Tubalr’s search interface has been created to let you discover new music, as you can both look up specific performers, and artists that are similar to any performer that you like. I looked for a similar performer to the Corrs, and it suggested… Andrea Corr as a solo artist. Similar-enough indeed, wouldn’t you say?
