Startup one-liner:

Thirst & Growl (TnG) is a platform designed to provide mobile restaurateurs with the necessary tools to achieve success in the street food industry, as well as connecting them with street food enthusiasts.

Problem the startup solves:

Street food is beloved globally. Foodies are always on the hunt for the best street food offerings, while Mobile Restaurateurs (street food vendors) strive to create a community of street food aficionados.

TnG helps Mobile Restaurateurs focus on what matters most: providing delicious street food. The app offers robust tools for their daily operations, such as engagement tools to build a community around their business, reducing the need for tech engagement.

For Foodies, TnG helps them find new, mouth-watering street food in their area. The app provides tools to discover street food vendors and share their experiences within the app by posting photos and videos.

Progress and Current Status:

The Private Beta has been launched and is now available for download on TestFlight. It currently supports iOS (iPhone).

We are working to improve the app and build new features, and are also focusing on fundraising to speed up product development and increase brand awareness.

What is an Inspiring Story about the Startup?:

The need for tacos, especially al pastor tacos, sparked the creation of Thirst & Growl. Co-founder Mosses was frustrated to discover for the third time that his neighborhood’s favorite taco stand wasn’t open. He wanted a way to be alerted when the mobile restaurateur was nearby. And so, Thirst & Growl was created.

What is a Company the Startup Looks Up to, and Why?:

We look up to Toast POS for their focus on building tools for restaurants. As we enter this space, we are placing great emphasis on customer engagement and developing solutions to support mobility. This is especially important for street food vendors, who often do not have a designated physical location to operate from and must be able to move freely and quickly

The Company in Four Years Will Be…

Thirst & Growl be synonymous with street food. Foodies flock to the app to satisfy their cravings and discover street food-related events. Furthermore, those passionate about becoming restaurateurs but lacking the funds to build a traditional restaurant are provided with the education and means to pursue their passion on the streets.
