TerraTips.ca – A Tip A Day to Save the World

TerraTips.caCanadian site TerraTips offers one earth friendly tip a day for you to act on. Each tip is followed by the question, ‘how likely are you to follow this tip?’ along with a section for comments and discussion.

Talk and debate is duly encouraged. The TerraTips team wants to know what you think about each tip, how viable it is, how changes can be implemented, or even if you disagree. Some examples of environment saving advice: use plant based hair dyes, use a bodom French press rather than paper filters, try organic pet food, dispose your cigarette butts properly, and here’s one for you techies, don’t use a screensaver—just put your computer on idle and turn the monitor off. Tips are filed by category: tech, lifestyle, travel, shopping, food, auto, home, and work. You may also search for tips by date or rating.

TerraTips.ca In Their Own Words

“one tip to act on, every single day, to make the planet a little better. because it’s not enough to just learn, you’ve got to change a little as well. we have no sponsors and get no kick-backs from stuff we recommend.”

Why TerraTips.ca It Might Be A Killer

TerraTips, besides having nice consonance, has a good idea. The environment needs to be save somehow, whether it be by following one tip a day or by joining GreenPeace. The tips are rather easy to follow and execute—they don’t ask that you change your whole lifestyle. You can do them and you’ll get that nice warm feeling knowing that you’re doing some earthly good.

Some Questions About TerraTips.ca

This site is well executed. The uniform color scheme and lack of motivational graphics could mean TerraTips doom. It’s far too bland to catch anyone’s attention and so far, not many people have participated on site. Will they add more features, ways to keep track of tips achieved, more socially interactive tools? TerraTips.ca
