Still in Alpha mode (so a lot of functions are not yet integrated into the site), StyleHop hopes to present style in a forum outside of magazines, advertisements, and celebrity-endorsed trends.
Members will provide information about themselves (age, gender, location, etc) and regularly play style ranking games. These games will determine style preferences and trends as expressed by the populace, rather than by select style editors. The search tools will be particularly interesting- for example, users will be able to search for “most popular dresses for 30-year-old women in Miami.” Users can also rank their style savvy against other members.
