Squidoo.com – SquidVids – Squidoo Launches Video Lens

Squidoo.comSquidoo, the company that brought you “lenses” of public information, is now offering a new video-aggregating service to its members. This service, appropriately namesd “SquidVids”, lets you create a channel-like lens by uploading YouTube videos.

Currently, if you’re a Squidoo member, you can add videos from the Squidoo site or by cutting and pasting URLs directly from YouTube. You can search for videos on Squidoo by keyword, and then once you find something you like, click on the “I want it!” button. You can also vote for or against videos (“up” or “down”). To create a SquidVids channel, sign up ( you don’t have to sign up again if you’re already a Squidoo user), choose the main category of your SquidVids lens (say, “comedy”), and then try entering in some keywords. SquidVids will then generate a list of videos for you to choose among to start building your lens. Some of SquidVids’ more advanced features include sharing your channel and allowing other Squidoo users to submit content.
