Socurio is a new community site which aims to turn art into something more accessible to the public at large by acting as a direct bridge between consumers and artists. The way things (sadly) stand, artists seldom have the time (or even the resources) to promote and market their work to consumers as extensively as they would want.
On the other hand, the usage of the word “art” ends up intimidating/alienating consumers who just don’t don’t know what to choose in order not to make a style blunder. That is the reason that they opt to go for a mass-produced alternative instead, IE something that has no “artistic” connotations at all.
Well, this site aims to change it all. The idea is that artists who create an account on the site can have an entire collection showcased to targeted consumers in a matter of seconds.
The vast majority of mediums of expression are supported (photography, painting, drawing, jewelry…) and those who shop at Socurio are sure to find what they have in mind, be it a gift, a home furnishing or something to give their offices a touch of finesse. And this community is absolutely free to join, too.
