The way things have turned out, there are social sites for just anybody. People who like drinking beer, people who are keen on MMA, people who love wine… everybody seems to be catered for.
“Seems” is the key word here, though. If you start digging (and not necessarily that deep) you will come across groups that are not represented yet. The obvious example might be fans of this or that TV show. These individuals usually communicate through forums and/or onsite chats. But they do not have an independent network to engage into full interaction.
That is what this software attempts to address – it will not enable just anybody to come up with his/her dream network, and in an entirely uncomplicated way at that. Features include having your own domain to go with, and a layout that is 100 % customizable. Besides, the network can be kept as public or as private as you wish. And you can even make it an invitation-only network if you are so inclined.
Of course, if there are no networks that are so specific as to cater for individuals keen on something as concrete as TV shows that might have run their course a long time ago that is because these are not really a sure draw. In other words: don’t start a network like as that thinking people will join in droves. They won’t. I think these networks are more a low-scale affair to keep fans happy. That is entirely respectable, and the ones that do join are going to be more loyal than you could ever imagine. But these networks are not going to take you from rags to riches. Ever.
