The SimpleUPC API already has data on over 120,000 foods and beverages, coming from more than 15,000 brands. The API boasts traditional product information (UPC, manufacturer, brand, size, container) along with all the basic nutrition facts that consumers are always eager to know when buying any product for the first time. Moreover, the API gives user ready access to a vast gallery of manufacturer-approved images.
And all of that is made available at a very reasonable cost, too. Pricing starts at $99 for 50,000 searches and product information, so that even SBOs are going to be able to benefit from this new service.
And in addition to that version of the service (the “Bronze” plan), there are two other plans available – “Silver” and “Gold”. The “Silver” plan costs $249, and the “Gold” plan will set you back $499. Like the “Bronze” plan, these are charged monthly. But they come with advanced nutrition information, and much larger search capabilities. The “Gold” plan also comes with high quality product images.
