SeeClickFix is a platform which aims to let people report any issue or situation that might arise where they live, so that local authorities can take action. The idea is clearly linking neighbors, community groups and media organizations with governments, effectively creating a framework in which everybody can make a contribution to enhancing the city they inhabit.
Of course, an interactive map is actively featured on the main page for everybody to see what is happening in the city on real time.
A platform like this one is useful not only because it gives the ordinary Bob a voice, it is actually excellent because the government can’t be in every place at the same time. And it can’t see all that is happening, either. Sometimes neighbors forget about that when they complain about safety, local services and so on. This platform effectively brings everybody together, and it makes for having reports of every magnitude reaching the right ears. And when people see that what they have reported is worked upon, they can only become more engaged in their local communities as a result.
