ScienticCommons.org – All Scientific Knowledge Indexed

ScienticCommons.orgScience has a reputation for being dry and boring. This site doesn”t help change that reputation, in either its content or design.

Then again, that is not the aim of the site. The site is a project of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and has exactly 15,202,089 scientific papers/studies indexed on the site. They aim to provide free access to as much scientific knowledge as possible. This is a noble goal that appears extremely difficult to manifest given the vast array of research done worldwide, but ScientificCommons.org is up for the challenge. The site says it is fully indexed and searchable, but it was hard to test that out given my naivete about the field. Overall, the site is clean and straightforward, and hopefully will help us improve our world.

ScienticCommons.org In Their Own Words

Why ScienticCommons.org It Might Be A Killer

It seems this searchable database of all scientific knowledge would be an invaluable tool to those in science or science-related fields (or maybe for those that would like to check references, such as periodicals).
