Rockstar Games has finally announced the long-awaited PC port of Red Dead Redemption, along with its expansion Undead Nightmare. The games will be available on the Rockstar Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store starting October 29, 2024. The PC versions will feature several enhancements designed for modern hardware.
Players can look forward to native 4K resolution and support for refresh rates up to 144hz on compatible systems. The games will also support ultrawide (21:9) and super ultrawide (32:9) monitors. Full keyboard and mouse support will be included.
Red Dead Redemption port details
Upscaling technologies such as Nvidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 will be available. Players will be able to adjust draw distances, shadow quality settings, and more.
However, the announcement did not mention any multiplayer features. The console version of Red Dead Redemption allowed up to 16 players to explore the game’s world together. It is unclear if this functionality will be present in the PC port.
Fans of the original game remember it for its engaging gameplay and memorable moments, along with the occasional humorous glitch. The PC release provides an excellent opportunity for both long-time fans and new players to experience this classic title in its best form yet.
