Reading.org is the site for the IRA association which is a nonprofit professional organization that was founded in 1956.
IRA is intended for all people that is involved in teaching reading to learners of all ages. Members of the organization are dedicated to promote reading by improving the quality of reading instruction, researching and spreading information about reading and encouraging reading habit. It does not matter if your interest is research or practice. They promote both the traditional print-based reading and writing and the Internet reading. Reading is very important so it is cool to have and organization that promotes it.
