QuadSearch is a metasearch engine. In other words, QuadSearch disperses your queries to various search engines and then collects and aggregates the results and returns them compiled, to you.
Unlike other search engines of this kind Quadsearch offers more extensive web coverage and improved retrieval of results. Hosted by Raptor, in Thessaloniki, Greece, the engine is geared toward the academic community. It’s main goal is to improve the retrieval of relevant information and secondly, to find better and faster ranking algorithms. Using it is similar to how you’d use any other search engine. Type in one or more terms, specify your parameters, i.e. preferred engines, results per engine and page and file type, and hit search. Extra features include a calculator tool which allows algebraic calculations to be submitted in the search bar, and the unit converter for converting metrics and units. There are also different categories for searching specifically images, science, news and video.
