This site is trying to help consumers make smart decisions by consolidating all the professional reviews of popular technological products, and then assign them one overall rating. It seems like Consumer Reports, but for free.
The product scores are simple and have easy-to-follow graphics: products are deemed good, moderate or poor. They also link all the expert reviews of a product so you don”t have to go searching the Internet for all the reviews. At this point, the site is limited in its product reviews, reviewing only the top products of cell phones, digital cameras and camcorders. They plan to add reviews for TVs, laptops and DVD players this year. If a specific product model is not covered on the site, they are open to receiving suggestions and trying to review that product, as well.
ProductCritic.com In Their Own Words
“we created ProductCritic to give you one location to find professional reviews of a particular product. We also summarize all the reviews and calculate a ProductCritic Score for each product. You only need to compare this score to get a good idea if professional reviewers generally rate one product better than another.”
