They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. But where do you find that picture? Look no further than Phrasr, a website to help you illustrate your words with Flickr images.
Enter any string of words, and Phrasr will match each word with a picture from Flickr’s extensive catalog. Not happy with Phrasr’s first suggestion? You can change the photo to one of 50+ options that the program will offer for each word. The end result is a photo slideshow captioned by your original words, and the title and name that you entered will appear at the end. You can email your creation to yourself or a friend, go back and edit your photo selection, or view the archive to see what other users have created. You can also click on any of the photos in your final message and Phrasr will direct your browser to the original Flickr page from which it pulled the image.
It is not clear whether there is a cap on how many words you may enter, but I was able to create a slideshow with over 50 words, so if there is a limit, it must be fairly high.
