This is the official website of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, a nonprofit organization that invites visitors to discover a world of flowers, plants, and green within the urbanity. This institution has over 180 years of existence (that’s twice the age of my grand-grandmother), which enables talk about plants and flowers with the security of an incredibly large amount of experience.
The PHS motivates people to improve the quality of life and create a sense of community through horticulture. To that end, it produces and manages a variety of shows, competitions, and programs, including flower shows, greening projects, expositions, and other renowned events such as the Philadelphia Green, the Kids Grow Expo, and the City Garden Contest. Through this site you’ll access complete information about these activities, as well as latest news and products for sale. At the top of your screen you’ll find some green buttons that will lead you to the specific sections of every featured event; there you’ll also see a section called All About Gardening, where you can take advantage of plenty of gardening resources.
