This is the website of the National Parkinson Foundation. The NPF has the mission to find the cause of and the cure for Parkinson disease through research; to improve the quality of life for persons with Parkinson and their caregivers; and to educate persons with Parkinson, their caregivers, healthcare professionals, and the general public about Parkinson disease and its treatment.
One way of accomplishing this mission is through this complete website. You can explore Parkinson.org by its categories located at the top of the homepage. These categories are: About NPF, About Parkinson Disease, NPF Programs, Events, Grants, Publications, and Community. The National Parkinson Foundation has developed international, national, and regional networks. These include Centers of Excellence, Outreach Centers, Chapters, the Community Partners Program and the Young-Onset Parkinson Network. These networks meet nationally and regionally for continuing education, to share information and best practices with each other, and to engage together in a process of continually improving the quality of and access to care, support, and information.
