Ostermiller.org – Useful As They Come

Ostermiller.orgThis site is exactly like a bureau drawer, only instead of being full with useless rubber bands, paper clips and pen caps without a pen, it’s got everything you probably don’t need on a daily basis, but will need one good day and search for desperately to no use; Ostermiller.org also carries all you might need to spend some quality time with your computer, like a collection of simple but useful apps to tag your mp3’s, or a software which lets you record stuff online and save it as mp3’s, or two SU-DO-KU games (highly addictive, so enter at your own risk).

There’s lots more interesting stuff, especially in the calculator scene, like the scientific calculator (which you can use on the site or embed in yours), or programs to play games with your graphic calculator, a currency converter and also a program which lets you figure out angles and sides of triangles. Still want more? Several tools and utilities for Java programmers can be found on Ostermiller.org, most of them really very easy to use, and incredibly useful too (like one which allows you to highlight semantic elements in programming text editors, or to convert Java or other source files into colored HTML). Feel like taking a stroll? The site can help you out too: even a guide to identifying trees is featured! Ostermiller.org
