First you’ve got to download Omemo to your computer. Next, in order to take advantage of the service, you have to chip in yourself and share some of your extra free space. Think of it as a P2P hard drive. The download is light at 4.35 MB. It allows you to access your files from anywhere in the world, publish content and browse through other people’s published goods, and you can vote and rate items. All content is anonymous and to ensure privacy and democracy, no one community or authority controls the content. Other features include community filtering, persistence which means no files can be altered or erased, and categorical organization. Omemo is available for Windows only at the moment.
