NotificationControl.com – Control Email Notifications

NotificationControl.comInspired by MyPermissions.org (a tool that lets you clean your app permissions), NotificationControl.com allows you to manage the way in which your favorite services email you notifications. On this site, you can pick them one by one and have all their notifications cleared out at once. That is, NotificationControl.com brings together all the notifications that services like Facebook and Twitter put your way on an average day, and lets you have them handled all from the same page.

So far, 12 services are supported. They are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tumblr, Foursquare, Google+, eBay, Pinterest, Meetup, Dribbble and Forrst. That should cover mostly all the sites that any average Internet user interacts with nowadays. Yet, the Notification Control team (Ben Lang and Tim Kendall) are open to suggestions for new sites. You can get in touch and request your favorite service be added to the list. If enough people join you, then chances are you’ll see it becoming supported before too long. Hopefully, that’ll happen before you finally grow tired of the way it abuses your inbox with a notification after the other of things you couldn’t care less about, and cancel your account in a moment of rage.
