Naughty Dog, the studio behind The Last of Us and Uncharted, has announced a new game called Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The game was revealed at The Game Awards 2024 with a trailer that gave fans a glimpse of what to expect. The trailer focuses on a bounty hunter named Jordan A.

Mun, played by Tati Gabrielle.

Mun is stranded on a distant planet called Sempiria, which has been cut off from the rest of the universe for hundreds of years. Fans have been analyzing the trailer to try and figure out who else might be in the game’s cast.

They think they’ve spotted Kumail Nanjiani, known for his role in Marvel’s Eternals, playing one of Mun’s targets, a man named Colin Graves. Other possible cast members include Tony Dalton from Better Call Saul and Stephen A. Chang from The Last of Us Part 2.

Intergalactic’s stellar cast revealed

There’s also debate about whether the fifth character shown in a photo could be played by Ashley Scott, Kelly Reilly, or Jessica Chastain. Neil Druckmann, the director of the game, has teased that Intergalactic has a “stellar cast” but hasn’t revealed any more details yet.

“We’ll reveal more of our ensemble down the line,” he said. The game is set to continue Naughty Dog’s tradition of creating emotional, character-driven stories. It will also have some of the deepest gameplay in the studio’s history.

To add to the immersive experience, the game’s soundtrack will be composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Their work is expected to be a great fit for the cosmic adventure. Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, but it doesn’t have a release date yet.

Fans will have to wait a while longer to find out more about this exciting new game from Naughty Dog.
