Vello is a conference-call solution service that eliminates the need for having conference call participants dial in. Instead of having to call in and enter a pin number, Vello users can connect to the conference call directly simply by pressing “1”.
If you’re the one who has scheduled the call, all you need to do is compile your list of participants (Vello currently can synch with Outlook, and more email platforms will be supported soon), and hit “Send”. If you’re the call manager, Vello also provides a variety of control options that let you connect and disconnect participants, mute participants, etc. If a participant doesn’t pick up the call, Vello will leave a call-back number so that they may dial in should they receive the message during the duration of the call. Vello is a work in progress, and a lot more cool features and options are forthcoming (for example, at this moment you can attend Vello conferences on the go with your BlackBerry, but soon other mobile devices will be supported). Currently, call rates are set at US $.15/minute, and the service works in the United States and Canada. Look for more updates in the next few months

Some Questions About MyVello.com
Vello seems like it has a lot of plans for the future, so it will be interesting to see how they all pan out. When will Vello users be able to synch with other contact managers besides Outlook? What about using other devices besides the BlackBerry? When I clicked on the link for “Devices supported”, it led to a blank page.
