Well, myImpact is meant to let them keep track of such information in a direct way. Volunteers and donors who are active in both national and community service programs can use the provided web interface (and Twitter app) to record, track and share what they have done.
Doing such a thing serves two actual purposes. The first is letting the good-doer realize how hard he is working towards the betterment of the world. The second is that since such information can be made public on the site, other people can become inspired and begin doing their best themselves.
Furthermore, myImpact allows organizations to create pages for the tracking of the activity of all their members. Schools and social clubs will be able to maximize all their available resources like never before.
