Myfolia.com is a social network aimed at gardening lovers around the world who want to keep track of what they are growing and share with other gardeners.
Myfolia gives users the capability of keeping track of when exactly they planted something and what it was that they planted. “So what”, you say, but the fact of the matter is that people often lose track of what they have planted and taking care of anonymous plants can be a challenge. As soon as you plant something, you simply add it to your personal page and you will also be able to see who else is growing the same plant and in that way share tips and best practices with other gardeners on how to best take care of your plants. Also included at Myfolia is a seed swapping function that allows you to share seeds with others.
Myfolia.com In Their Own Words
“The idea for MyFolia came about when Nic was trying to remember what she had planted in her windowsill boxes and when she had planted them – we had a look out for a website, or even some software that would let us track our plants easily and couldn’t find anything that wasn’t overly complicated, required a dodgy subscription or wasn’t filled with silly banner ads. So we decided to create our own… and we hope you will find it as useful as we do!”
Why Myfolia.com It Might Be A Killer
There seems to be a new social network popping up every minute and the grand majority of these new endeavors are lacking a real focus. This is not the case with Myfolia, which is a unique site that will actually help you to garden and perhaps to meet some like-minded people.
Some Questions About Myfolia.com
Have they considered running competitions to increase user interest in the site? Perhaps they could have a featured plant each month, offer expert advice on how best to grow it, and give out a prize to the user who is able to grow the best one?
